 FACULTY OF LAW

Law is the most powerful instrument which regulates and controls a society. Without law there cannot be a society. Development and success of every nation depends upon its laws. Legal education is a must for every citizen. Faculty of Legal Studies, Baba Mastnath University embarked on its mission of imparting quality legal education in the country from the academic session 2014-2015. Since its inception, the Faculty has been a hub of legal education in India producing a large number of legal luminaries like Judges, Public Prosecutors, Lawyers, Law Officers, Professors, Authors, Entrepreneurs and so on.

The Faculty of Legal Studies has adopted the New Education Policy (NEP), 2020 in letter and spirit. All our programmes are in alignment with NEP-2020 ensuring outcome based education as well as multidisciplinary, research-driven, skill-oriented, online and blended learning. The main objective of the law programmes offered by Faculty of Legal Studies is to groom students to acquire profound and exhaustive theoretical, practical and research knowledge in the field of law thereby enabling them to tackle complex problems in their respective specialized fields and attaining excellence. With the emergence of cutting edge technologies, social tools and interconnected communities, the study of law has transgressed its traditional spheres of influence and assumed importance in a multitude of domains. At the Faculty of Legal Studies, we understand this inter-disciplinary application of legal knowledge by offering practice-driven and application based legal education.

The unique teaching pedagogy at Faculty of Legal Studies emphasizes on practical training making students understand the basic philosophy and reason behind the law. To meet the demands of the 21st-century legal profession, we have incorporated moot court competitions, legal aid camps, internships, industry collaborations, academic visits, workshops, conferences and seminars into our programmes in addition to classroom learning. At Faculty of Legal Studies, special emphasis is given on legal research whereby students are encouraged to undertake various research activities in the field of law and give some fruitful results which would benefit the current and future generations.
