The Faculty of Sciences in BMU was incepted in 2012. Faculty of Sciences is imparting value-based education to students. Initially, it was started with Departments like Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, Mathematics, Physics but in 2021 Department of Bio-Technology was introduced to expand the horizon and give inpetus to interdisciplinary research. The Faculty of Science incubates the holistic knowledge and provide the state of art logistic support that is highly desirable to cope up with the industrial challenges in the region.
Faculty of Science offers B.Sc., B.Sc.(Hon.), M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in relevant subjects. These study programs focus on the crisp understanding and dealing with concepts with latest pedagogy technique to entitle students with discernible influence to exploit knowledge and information far a better environment and society.
Our research is embedded in interdisciplinary knowledge with stakeholders in our society, which results in the ability of fundamental and applied sciences to strengthen one another. Our study programs prepare students for scientific research and professional careers related to societal themes such as energy, water, health, environment etc. as well as careers in entrepreneurship. The post-covid era has witnessed a lot of Turnarounds in the world order, economics and Geo political influences, Science & Technology etc. and India holds the strategic position to lead the world in coming years. To achieve this India needs to transform its youth and Faculty of Sciences, BMU, envisaged to implement it through adopting NEP 2020 in its full intent which will transform India's education system, aiming for equitable and inclusive education, promoting multidisciplinary learning, enhancing quality, and fostering critical thinking and creativity to prepare students for the 21st century.
