ISITEP-B.A.B.Ed. Special Education (Hearing Impairment) – Middle Stage is a four-year integrated teacher education programme approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The programme prepares professionally qualified teachers to educate and support learners with Hearing Impairment at the Middle Stage through inclusive, learner-centred, and competency-based teaching approaches.
The curriculum integrates humanities, education, psychology, pedagogy, Indian Sign Language (ISL), assistive technologies, assessment techniques, and school internships. It develops competencies required to address the educational, communication, and developmental needs of children with Hearing Impairment in inclusive and special education settings.
Graduates are equipped to work as Special Educators, Resource Teachers, Inclusive Education Coordinators, Rehabilitation Professionals, and educational consultants in government and private institutions, special schools, NGOs, and rehabilitation centres.
